How gym cleaning is priced

Gyms run 10-20% above standard commercial rates per sqm because touch-frequency drives labour. For a 500 sqm boutique studio on a 5-night rotation, expect NZ$2,400-4,200 per month. 24-hour franchise gyms (Anytime / Snap / Jetts) typically run a daily early-morning slot (4-6am) for a 2-3 hour reset; pricing structure is hourly with a monthly minimum.

Vetting and access

● Cleaner identifiable but not member-engaging during cleaning windows

Frequently asked questions

How do you clean a 24-hour gym? +

Daily 2-3 hour pre-dawn slot (typically 4-6am) — the lowest-occupancy window. Members are not excluded, but the slot is timed so the provider works around the 2-5 members typically on-site.

Do you handle sauna and steam room cleaning? +

Yes — but it's a specialist scope (mould protocols, wood treatment, specific products) usually quoted separately as a quarterly deep-clean line item.

What about CrossFit boxes / functional fitness? +

Same scope as a gym but rubber-mat cleaning is heavier and equipment range is wider. Provider walks through and quotes the specific kit (rigs, KBs, ropes, plates).

Pool decking? +

Pool cleaning is a separate specialist contract. The office cleaner can clean change rooms and pool-adjacent surfaces but not water chemistry.
